Eyeball Nails | Nails of the Day

Two posts in one day? Crazy right? I did some Halloween nails so I thought I had better share them with you guys today considering it's Halloween tomorrow. These are very simple and easy to do if you have a steady hand. I started by applying a base coat followed by two coats of the Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear polish in White On. I then painted large circles using OPI's No Room for the Blues using a small paintbrush, followed by a smaller black circle using OPI's Black Onyx. I then added a smaller white circle on top of the black and added small red lines as seen in the picture.

Have you guys got anything planned for Halloween? I'd love to hear about your plans!

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub Review

Lush's Bubblegum lip scrub is one of the most raved about products in the beauty blogging world so I thought it was about time I reviewed it. Lush's lip scrubs are essentially made of castor sugar, to remove any dry bits from your lips, jojoba oil to moisturise, and flavouring to make it smell (and taste!) delicious! All you do is simply rub it over your lips and then lick it off, which leaves your lips feeling smooth and moisturised. There are four different flavours available within the lip scrub range but bubblegum is the only one I own (though I will certainly be picking up the new cola version for Christmas!). The bubblegum lip scrub is a very sweet and smells more of candy floss than bubblegum but oh well! This is definitely one of my favourite lip products and is perfect to use before applying lipstick- definitely high on my recommendations list! The only downside is the price ($9.95 in Australia) as it is very simple to make at home, however I don't have the patience or the energy so I would still probably repurchase it!

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments

Back when I was in the US I decided that it was finally time to purchase some of the Fresh Sugar lip treatments after hearing about all the hype surrounding them. However I couldn't quite justify the price tag for one of the full sized ones so instead opted for the trio of mini's including Passion, Honey and Berry. The Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments are thick, tinted lip balms which have a slightly waxy feeling about them, meaning they stay on the lips for a long time while providing a fair bit of moisture. They leave your lips feeling incredibly soft and moisturised although I've found that if you apply them too often they can have an opposite effect and instead dry out your lips.

My only negative is the fact that they are a bit soft in the tube and tend to get damaged quite easily which you can see in the second image, however this may only be on the mini versions as  the actual product is so thin inside the tube. All of them provide a decent amount of pigmentation with Passion as a pinky red, Honey as browny colour and Berry as well, a berry colour. Overall these are some of my favourite lip balms on the market and are definitely worth investing in if you're willing to shell out $22.50 for a full size version of one from Sephora, however they do currently have some mini sets available. I definitely want to get my hands on a full size version of Rose if I can find them anywhere online or in Australia.

Have you tried any of the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments? Don't forget to enter my giveaway!

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish: Stereo Rose

MAC's Mineralize Skin Finish in Stereo Rose is possibly my favourite blush of all time (although I am loving Benefit's Coralista at the moment) so it's only fair that it get's featured on my blog. Stereo Rose is described as a "coral with golden bronze shimmering nuances". While it is definitely a coral, it does have some pink tones with golden/champagne shimmer. It has a very frosty finish, almost metallic like, but I don't find that it emphasises your pores as long as you use a light hand and build it up a bit at a time as it is also quite pigmented. Stereo Rose lasts for around 6-7 hours before it starts to fade and become patchy. I bought this when I was in America as part of the Apres Chic collection and for some reason, I didn't use it for a very long time but now I use it almost everyday. It's safe to say I love it! It is very difficult to get your hands on but you can get it here
