My Spring Nail Polish Picks

Spring is here! The start of a new season provides a perfect excuse for me to get out the bright and colourful products to share with you guys. I apologize for anyone that lives in the US or anyone that is actually going into Autumn but a few pastel shades never hurt anyone. Hope you guys enjoy my picks!

Kate Moss for Rimmel Salon Pro: Reggae Splash
Reggae Splash is a gorgeous light orange/apricot shade with a flaw proof formula. It applies easily and smoothly and the gel-like formula allows this gorgeous colour to last between 6-10 days. You can see my review here.

Essie Lilacism
Essie's Lilacism is one of my absolute favourite nail polishes ever. It is a beautiful blue toned lilac, although there are two different versions of this, the other being a pale lavender. The formula is quite streaky and requires around 3 coats but it is very easy to work so this doesn't bother me. It is also very fast drying and last for a rather long while.

Revlon ColorStay in Cafe Pink
Cafe Pink is a lovely shade of baby pink that is absolutely perfect for Spring. The Revlon ColorStay polishes usually last quite a while due to their gel formula. This one only needed two coats but I did three for good measure.

Essie Mint Candy Apple
A definite cult product, this gorgeous minty, aqua blue shade is one of my favourites and is also a must have for Spring/Summer. The formula isn't amazing as it is a bit streaky and can be a bit thick but it's nothing impossible to work with. It stays on without chipping for around 4-5 days and dries quickly. Definitely on my recommendation list!

Essie Playdate
While I don't tend to wear purple very often, I thought I'd include this one for all the purple lovers out there. Playdate is a bright purple with a glossy, creme formula. Like all Essie polishes, it dries quickly and lasts for a good 4-5 days.

What are your must have colours for spring?

  1. Essie has such pretty pastels! Mint Candy Apple has been on my wishlist forever - I wonder how many close dupes I have of it in my collection. I love the formula of the Revlon ColorStay polishes - they're so shiny and hard-wearing with that gel-like appearance.
