August Favourites | Monthly Faves

This month I feel as though I have a very small amount of products to share with you and I've already featured three of them on my blog so sorry about that! I've been sick and quite busy this month so I guess I haven't been switching it up all that much..

Benefit Coralista
Coralista has officially over taken MAC Stereo Rose as my everyday blush this month. Paired with Laguna or by itself, this gorgeous coral colour is perfect for us Australian's heading into Spring soon! (even though it doesn't really seem like it here in Perth).

Nars Laguna Bronzer
Laguna has also found it's way into my everyday make up bag, replacing Benefit's Hoola as my go to bronzer. I always thought Laguna would be too dark for me but with a light hand it's the perfect not too orange or muddy looking shade. See swatches here.

MAC Studio Finish Concealer
It seems as though all of these products have over taken my usual go-to products this month. This gorgeous concealer has also overtaken my previous favourite concealer- Benefit's Boi-ing. It provides a great amount of coverage for both blemishes and under eyes and doesn't crease on me at all throughout the day. See my post here.

Kate Moss for Rimmel Salon Pro: Hip Hop
Literally my favourite product this month- I am obsessed. Hip Hop is a slightly orange toned bright red which just look so, so pretty on the nails. You can see my post here.

Random Favourites
I'm still loving Teen Wolf, X Factor, Masterchef and all my usuals but i'm also loving new America's Next Top Model and Skins which I just started!

Music wise I'm getting into the One Direction mood for their concert in four weeks (don't judge me ha) and loving Best Song Ever! I also bought Paramore concert tickets for January so I've been loving their self titled album which came out earlier in the year. I've also been loving Miley's new song Wrecking Ball (her VMA's performance not so much)!

Have a great day guys!

Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons

Another new addition to the shelves of Priceline are the largely hyped up Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons. I picked up two in Red Sunrise and Orange Punch. I did specifically go for the ever so popular Peach on the Beach but they were unfortunately sold out. I think I have also now come to the realisation that I am in need of a serious lip product intervention. Anywho!

There are four shades available and from the two I've tried they have a moisturising, non-sticky formula along with vivid and glossy finishes. They are also said to be waterproof, 10 hour long moisture and have an an SPF of 15. I personally would say that they only last for a couple hours but I can't deny or confirm their waterproof-ness. Red Sunrise is a medium coverage bold pinky red. Orange Punch appears as a vivid orange in the crayon but when applied turns to more of a natural pink with just a hint of orange.

The new hype of glossy crayon type products are some of my favourites and I've happily added these two to my never ending mix. I definitely recommend you do too!

Kate Moss for Rimmel Salon Pro Nail Polish: Reggae Splash

After another trip to Priceline, I simply couldn't resist picking up another one of the gorgeous shades from the Kate Moss Rimmel Salon Pro collection. To add to my love of orange, I picked up number 705, Reggae Splash. Regae Splash is a gorgeous light apricot shade and comes with the same flaw proof formula as Hip Hop. The gel-like formula applies smoothly and the larger brush allows for quick and precise application although the brush can be tricky at times with my narrow nails. The formula is chip-resistant and claims to last for up to 10 days, however my nails are a different colour almost everyday so I can't quite vouch for that!

Overall, Rimmel has done it again and I'm obsessed with Reggae Splash! The Rimmel Salon Pro collection is currently on sale at Priceline for $7.16- I definitely recommend checking them out!

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick: Raspberry Bite

Another lipstick?! Really?! I know, I know. I've been sick and my level of blogging motivation has been very, very low. So I guess these could be considered 'filler' posts. However I did go shopping today so I'm hoping to share some new goodies with you guys over the next week or so. Moving on!

In the tube Revlon's Raspberry Bite appears as a dark burgundy colour, however it is in fact a vivid blue based pink-red when swatched. As always, I love the formula of these Revlon lipsticks and this one in particular seems to last a very long time. It also leaves a very pretty stain once it begins to fade away.  Like all Revlon lipsticks, it has a smooth and creamy texture. Along with it's gorgeous colour and amazing formula, this is definitely a favourite in my books!

Kate Moss for Rimmel Salon Pro Nail Polish in Hip Hop

My number one nail polish obsession over the past couple of weeks has been the newly released in Australia Rimmel Salon Pro nail polishes. I bought two shades, Acid House and Hip Hop, the one I'm reviewing today!

Hip Hop is a gorgeous red with coral/orange tones. The formula of this is amazing- it dries quickly, lasts forever without chipping and dries to a lovely glossy finish! (My photo's definitely don't do the glossiness justice!). Rimmel claim that these polishes will last with no chipping for up to ten days without a top coat!  Unfortunately I can't confirm this as my nail polish lasts for two days maximum before I get bored and pick a new colour! My only negative with this polish is the brush- it's quite a large, short brush where as I tend to prefer the thin, Essie type brushes as I have quite narrow nails.

The Kate Moss Salon Pro range is currently 20% off at Priceline so they end up being only $7.16 each! There's only one day left to enter my giveaway for the Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids- don't forget!

Rimmel Apocalips: Review & Swatches

l-r: Solstice, Celestial, Apocaliptic, Stellar

I was beyond excited when I saw these gorgeous little things sitting on the shelves of Priceline! The Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquers are a mixture of a lipstick and a lipgloss (pigmentation of a lipstick and the hydration of lip gloss). I am completely in love with these, the formula, the packaging, everything! I only hope the release a few more mid toned pinks! I personally don't find them all that long wearing. The darker shades do tend to last longer than the two lighter shades but they all need touching up after a couple of hours. These retail in Australia for $15.95.

I got four shades in Solstice, Celestial, Apocaliptic and Stellar. Solstice is a browny/plummy toned pink, Celestial is a medium toned pink, Apocaliptic is a bright fuchsia pink and Stellar is a bright coral red. My personal favourites are Solstice and Celestial!
