Revlon Lip Butter Collection & Swatches

l-r: Cotton Candy, Peach Parfait, Strawberry Shortcake, Berry Smoothie, Tutti Frutti, Cherry Tart, Red Velvet
So today I thought I'd share my collection of Revlon Lip Butters as they are some of my favourite lip products ever. The Revlon Lip Butters are balm like lipsticks with medium pigmentation and a whole lot of moisture and smoothness. The only problem with these is that they aren't all long wearing. The usually need re-applying after a couple hours. I know this post is probably a tad late in the blogging world but oh well!

Cotton Candy: A pale cool pink
Peach Parfait: A rosy pink with gold sparkles
Strawberry Shortcake: A blue-toned cotton candy pink
Berry Smoothie: A cool toned berry-pink
Tutti Frutti: A sheer (but buildable) orange
Cherry Tart: A cherry pink-red
Red Velvet: A deep red

My favourites are definitely Berry Smoothie, Tutti Frutti and Red Velvet!

Sleek eyeshadows l-r: Pamper, Gateau, The Mail, Boxed, Wrapped Up, Noir
First of all let me start with apologies for the picture heavy post. Over the last few weeks I've been on a shopping kick and ordered a few things from the Sleek website, All Cosmetics Wholesale and also bought another Maybelline Color Tattoo in Tough as Taupe ($11.95) from Priceline. I am completely obsessed with the other Color Tattoos that I have and decided I would pick up another neutral shade from the range. I am yet to wear this as is looks a bit darker and scarier than it does in the pot but I've seen it on other people and it looks gorgeous.

From All Cosmetics Wholesale I couldn't resist adding to my Nars collection with the Angelika/Laguna duo ($34.99) and Sin blush ($26.99). I only received these in the mail today so I haven't worn them yet but from the swatches I LOVE Angelika- it's gorgeous. I'm a little concerned to whether Laguna will be too dark for me but I will hopefully make it work. Angelika is a 'cotton candy light pink with gold and silver sparkle' while the cult favourite Laguna is a light-medium bronzer with a very subtle shimmer. I also picked up Sin which is described as a 'berry with gold shimmer'- definitely my type of colour. It's very similar to MAC's Plum Foolery which I already have but I will use it nonetheless.

I also decided to buy a few things from the Sleek website considering I don't own any Sleek products. I bought the Sleek Blush by 3 palette in Lace ($12.49) which has three colours- Crochet, Guipure and Chantilly. Crochet is a warm matte orange, Guipure is warm pink with gold shimmer and Chantilly is a matte reddish-coral colour. I'm haven't worn these yet either but I've heard great things. From swatching them the pigmentation doesn't seem to be as great as people say and they are quite powdery but I definitely need to try them properly. I also bought the i-Divine palette in Oh So Special ($9.99) which has 12 different shades in a variety of finishes. I won't describe each colour as we'll be here forever but from swatching they have decent pigmentation and also seem a bit powdery.

Have you tried any of these products?

My MAC Lipstick Collection

l-r: Angel/Saigon Summer/Saint Germain/Rebel/Shanghai Spice
Today I thought I'd share my collection of MAC lipsticks. I don't have that many but definitely want to expand my collection soon which is why I have a long list of things to try. At the top of my list is Crosswires after seeing a post by Essiebutton, Morange and Ruby Woo. Enjoy!

MAC Angel is a light-medium milky pink with a frost finish. It applies opaque and smells amazing like all MAC lipsticks do. It's probably my most worn MAC lipstick but I don't wear it alone all that often as it is a bit pink and pale for my liking.

Saigon Summer was my first footstep into the world of orange and is a semi-opaque medium orange with a slight shimmer. Saigon Summer is technically a cremesheen. I was wanting Morange but decided to go a little bit more subtle for my first orange purchase although I may have to pick it up someday soon.

Saint Germain is an amplified blue-toned pale pink lipstick. This along with Rebel was my first ever MAC purchase and I will be honest in saying that I only bought it because of how pretty it looked in the tube. I've ever actually worn it out simply because of how bright and obnoxious it is. I'm very picky with pinks as well because most of them make me look even paler than I am.

MAC Rebel is a satin finish deep berry colour. I bought this after seeing it raved about on Youtube and while I don't wear it that often, I'm still really glad I bought it.

Shanghai Spice is a semi-opaque slightly brown toned rosy pink with a cremesheen formula. I didn't actually buy this- I got given it as a mistake instead of Saigon Summer. I bought it when I was in America and staying in LA I couldn't be bothered going back to the Santa Monica MAC store to return it so I just kept it.

What lipsticks should I check out on my next trip to MAC?

Orange Obsessed

I have a little bit of an obsession with the colour orange- whether it be in lipstick form or in nail polish form. So I thought what better than to do a post entirely dedicated to my favourite orange nail polishes!

From right to left-
OPI A Roll in the Hague- a darker reddish-orange. A Roll in the Hague is a gorgeous darker orange with a decent formula and drying time. The only thing I dislike is that it dries a couple of shades darker than it really is, but oh well!

Model's Own Beach Party- Beach Party is one half of my tied for favourite orange polishes. My photo really doesn't do it justice as it is a bright neon orange(when I say bright I really do mean it). My friends and teachers have made many comments along the lines of 'Your nail polish is literally blinding me'. The only down side is the lengthy drying time and the less than fabulous formula but I still love it!

China Glaze Peachy Keen- The other half of my tied favourite. Peachy Keen is a bright peachy-orange creme that applies and stays on like a dream. The colour in the bottle isn't too over exciting but when applied it really is a knockout colour.

Chi Chi Hot Stuff- a light-ish creme orange. I'm not the biggest fan of Chi Chi as I find the polishes tend to go thick and gloopy quite quickly. However I like the colour enough to deal with difficult formula.

L'Oreal Color Riche Lush Tangerine- a mid toned orange creme. This applies really well and I love the colour, however it appears darker on the nail than it does in the bottle.
